04 Base Model
Bench Seats/column shift

I removed the dash trim panel to pull the cluster for stepper motor replacement. Once I removed the screws, I was able to remove maneuver the panel around the shifter to pull it free with no issues.

Now that I've repaired and reinstalled the cluster, I'm having an extremely difficult time replacing the panel. If I shift into 1st, I can line everything up straight, but the key in the ignition gets in the way and I obviously can't remove the key with the car in gear.

I was hoping some of you guys can chime in with a few tips.

TIA,
Tony C.

You gotta take the black plastic trim piece off that does around the ignition. Be careful not to break the tabs

That, and the realization that I was being a pansy when trying to smack the trim back in place Embarassed
