I was out doing some Christmas shopping today, When I came out from the store started the car and backed out, My dash started beeping and saying service traction system, so I pulled over, shut the car off and restarted it, didn't come back on. Then when I make a right turn down another street, Heard a beep again, said traction active. as if my wheel was slipping, ( I was going maybe 5mph, deff wasn't spinning.) So I figured a car wash might help clear up some dust n what not from under neath the car since I haven't washed it in a few months. So after the wash I went to leave, Turned right again, Traction active again. I replaced the right front hub about 1 month 1/2 ago, could it be something as simple as the sensor on the hub? that it what I'm leaning towards since It happens when I turn right.. Thoughts??

Thanks.

IIRC you had a shop replace the hub. My Intrigue had a hub replaced by a previous owner that didn't put the retainer clip back in and it caused the pigtail to rub through and short out. I'd take a look at the wires leading to the hub and then go from there.

My advice still stands. Laughing Honestly, I'd check them all for any damage/decay.

still haven't been able to get to it, work, hard rain, and no time to take it to a shop.
I will be off this Fri so I plan to take it to a shop and have them take a look, also NOW I've noticed that when stopped or 0-10mph while turning I'm getting a popping noise what sounds like driver side, I'm assuming that is the CV or axle going out??? @ 165k I'm just trying to make it till tax time so I can trade it in and put a good down payment on a diff car. Ughh..

finally got it into the shop, when I removed the stock air box and threw in my CAI, i never got a pcm tray, so what they came up with at the shop after scanning it and getting the codes was about wires in the bcm area (green, yellow) they said the speed sensing on both hubs were accurate. So far ABS/Traction hasn't come back on. so hopefully that was the issue and nothing worse.

Thanks!

Came back on, he kept asking if I had ignition problems, I don't, starts up every time. Have no idea what the issue could be and seems to come on more when it's wet or rainy out. Either way turning left or right or leaving from a stop light, the traction will come on and I'll hear like a grinding ish sound, at least that's what it feels like coming from the pedal. goes on at least a few times every day now. Very annoying. any ideas anyone?

thanks

Haven't read up on your repair history - perhaps a different hub?

Easy troubleshooting is jacking the front of the car up, having a friend sit inside and turn the wheel left and right while you wiggle the wires under the car ( don't put yourself under the car, just enough to reach the wires). When the light turns on, you've probably just figured out which wheel is giving you the problem.

Remember to use jackstands. Safety first!

They checked both hubs as well as their sensing speed. Both were accurate. Also I don't feel any play/noise that is common with a bad hub...

It's probably the ABS triggering when it shouldn't be on. The Intrigue started doing it all the time right before I dumped it because a wiring harness was rubbing against a control arm...

Jnibbs24, Grinding ish, and feel thru the pedal is going to be ABS related. You will not feel traction assist (active) thru the pedal. Cool
