I'm thinking about changing my low beams (#9006) to HID's for better visibility... Any suggestions or help from experience is appreciated... Car is a 2001 LS... Thanks!

Go with DDM tuning kit.

Cheap, good quality, and lifetime warranty. They are very straightforward install

Those look good...

Would you recommend I upgrade to HID for just the low beams (9006 bulbs) or just the high beams (9005 bulbs) or both low and high beams (9006 & 9005 bulbs)?

What about the DRL function? Will the HID's turn on at the lower voltage of the DRL's?

your car has high beam DRLs right? I dont remember the change over, thought it was 05 with to lows.

No need for highs, takes a bit to "turn on" and you wont reap the benefits of the improved output, especially on Long Island here most roads are lit and theres always cars in the area. Get a good set of Silverstars for the highs.

HA! I don't even know... Are the low beams the "outboard" lights and the high beams the "inboard" lights? (2001 LS)

With an 01 your highs should be DRL's. And don't worry about HIDs in highs, its a waste, just get em for the lows, and if you have fogs, you can do fogs too if you want but it isn't needed.

I'm going to add HID fogs, but only because I like the look of it, and with the halo's the light output is reduced over stock (even with HIDs) so itll help me compensate lol

I would recommend getting some kind of projector headlights first. HID's look better with projectors and you aren't blinding everyone on the road.
