Long story short, last winter I completely messed up one of my skis. I would rather just paint them myself than get them repaired bc there is no damage to the ski besides its graphics on top. Will not be painting the bottom. What type of paint holds up in cold wet climates. I will be doing multiple coats of both paint and clear.
When it comes to paints, I have no idea what too look for..
That is a good idea, except I don't want to spend much (assuming the paint from the manufacturer will be expensive) I'm hesitant to go that route. Plus if I were to buy the paint from them, I still could not repair the graphics anywhere close to what was there before. This would result in having one ski being a solid color and the other having graphics all over...
Sorry, I misread your post as saying you messed the ski up, but there was no graphics on top.
Can't hurt to call the manufacturer anyway, at least you'll know the type of paint to buy, even if it isn't from them. Oil and latex based paints don't play nice, so you want to at least get that right.
