took the car to the shop because exhaust was getting loud, well there is a hole in the resonator.well they said they would just cut it off and put a straight pipe in place.he said it wouldent be loud but im not sure.has anybody done a resonator delete on a stock exhaust?and how is the interior drone
not too bad, when the car/engine/exhaust is cold drone can be annoying @2200- 2500 rpms once the exhaust pipes warm up its not bad.
if your in the city you will notice it louder in the cabin.if highway driven its quiet.
ya know i was thinking about doing that to.should most exhaust shops know about the u bend and to fix it?
They won't do anything about it unless you explicitly tell them to.
yea i guess i worded that wrong i know they wont see it fix it,but more like i tell them and they look at me retarded lol.i dident know if i had to buy the part from zzp,i assume the shop could just make one seems as its just a straight pipe right?
All you need to tell them is that there is a restriction behind the cat that you want replaced with a straight pipe and O2 bung. Once they get the car on the lift they will know exactly what you are talking about.
Protip: If you don't know what you're doing, don't do it.
