took the car to the shop because exhaust was getting loud,well there is a hole in the resonator.well they said they would just cut it off and put a straight pipe in place.he said it wouldent be loud but im not sure.has anybody done a resonator delete on a stock exhaust?and how is the interior drone

not too bad, when the car/engine/exhaust is cold drone can be annoying @2200- 2500 rpms once the exhaust pipes warm up its not bad.
if your in the city you will notice it louder in the cabin.if highway driven its quiet.

I didnt really notice anything. Sounded better. Especially if theres a hole there too. get him to take out the "u-bend" whiles he there.

ya know i was thinking about doing that to.should most exhaust shops know about the u bend and to fix it?

yea i guess i worded that wrong i know they wont see it fix it,but more like i tell them and they look at me retarded lol.i dident know if i had to buy the part from zzp,i assume the shop could just make one seems as its just a straight pipe right?

All you need to tell them is that there is a restriction behind the cat that you want replaced with a straight pipe and O2 bung. Once they get the car on the lift they will know exactly what you are talking about.

That's my experience too; L36 SS Monte Carlo, stock exhaust otherwise, heavily modified intake system, California spec. It's unobtrusive in the cabin.
