2003 Chevrolet Impala

PostPosted: Tue Aug 21, 2012 11:58 pm    Post subject:  ImpalaPSI here from W.I. Reply with quote

Hey guys just found this site. I'm hope to upgrade my 2003 impala 3400 but parts seem pretty hard to find. Milzy motorsport is the only place I know that sells my performance parts but at a hefty price. I wana start upgrading my car. My main concern is getting ride of the terrible u-bend in the exhuast then then a bigger throttle bottle , headers, and port and polish the intakes. I just need someone to point me the way.

Thanks Jake.

Honest advice from someone that heavily modded a W-body... do a few easy mods (like the ubend and add an intake) then save your mod money for a platform that is actually meant to be upgraded.

How about you don't post on this thread. I specifically want to upgrade my 3400 becuase not many people do. I'm not into racing. I just want to upgrade for my own sake and to make people say, "Wow! You can actually mod the 3400's. I really don't need people like you, a nose high rambler. Anyone can say " Just get a fatser car that is stock", which is not the case here. I love my 2003 chevy impala 3400sfi, I'm never trading it or sell it. It's my dream car.

You wanted input, I gave you input. Sorry for being honest. That being said, you will fit right in with the Impala leg humpers on the forum.

If you are serious about keeping your Impala. do yourself a favor and look up Wanderson's 3400 to 3800SC thread... the 3800 is much cheaper to mod and has great potential...

I think I am one of very few people who modded a 3400 beyond just intake/exhaust/tune. Let me tell you, there's very little to gain for what it costs you. I had a 3500 plenum swap, headers, plenum spacers, etc. Do what you want and can afford to do but there aren't many people here who will make you feel warm and fuzzy inside because you modded your base impala.
