Hi,

Can anyone point me in the direction of a cost effective code reader that will scan
GM products beyond the OBDII capability, especially for transmission codes?
I am not a technician, it would be just for personal use. Not sure if this is the right forum. I have a 2003 3.4L Impala, and a 2002 Venture.

Thanks

Not sure on the tranny codes.

Most trans codes will be pulled by a standard scanner. I had a cheap Actron scanner that was able to pick up the P1811 that eventually led to my first rebuild.
