I could not do this on my own due to the headlights being very complex to open. After destroying two sets of headlamps I decided to let a pro shop do the retro. I sent all of my things to Lightwerkz in New Jersey. Caesar and his team did an extraordinary job. If you're interested in this retrofit, please contact Caesar at sales@lightwerkz.com

Here is the link to my retrofit on the Lightwerkz website...

Total cost for project...

$385.00 for complete HID setup from www.retrofitsource.com (projectors, ballast, bulbs etc)
$125.00 +/- $25 for TYC headlights from www.rockauto.com
$71.00 for me to FedEx all my things to Lightwerkz in NJ from TN with it insured at $550.00
$1130.00 labor rate for www.lightwerkz.net to complete the retro (shipping from Lightwerkz to me included with labor rate)
$260.00 for two other sets of headlights I destroyed in the process...

Total spent around $1900.00

Ouch Shocked

I remember emailing one of these companies about 5 or so years ago to do it on my Impala when i had it... It was a sick idea but the cost was insane...

Yes I can understand everyone's thoughts about the cost. It wouldn't be so bad if they would have came apart like my other retros did in the past. I could have saved at least $1200. I had too much invested not to complete the project, so I bit the bullet and pushed forward.

Down payment on a real car... a thousand Whoppers... countless other ways to spend two grand.

I'm 100% certain that isn't the first Impala retrofit. Caesar is a hack.

What makes you 100% certain? And it looks like "Ceasar" did an amazing job on those headlights. He did something nobody else on the site has been able to do, and made it look factory.

I'm sure everyone on the site is so glad to have you to tell us how we're doing everything wrong.

LW puts out junk work all day. If you don't know quality when you see it, you might drive an Impala.

Anyone else want Dan's input? No? Okay, moving on. I'd love to see some pics of them installed, and of the output at night.

Way too much bread. They look decent though. Curious to see how they perform (especially in regards to moisture inside), and how good they look from the back.
