2005 Chevrolet Impala

PostPosted: Sun Aug 12, 2012 9:35 am    Post subject:  Shift Knob for 05 Impala. Help! Reply with quote

My T-style shift knob went out on my 2005 Impala and I need a new one. I have looked everywhere online trying to find a replacement. What is the deal? It's like they don't exist. I have found some universal ones that say they fit any car, but the reviews for these seem pretty bad and I don't like how they work (you have to push the whole knob down instead of a button). Can anyone here tell me where to get a good replacement knob. It does not have to be OEM, but I want one with a button and that I know will work with my car. The only one I have found with a button so far is from Pilot and every single one of the reviews for it complain that the set screws work loose daily and have to be tightened.

Thanks for the help.

The Maniac is a good guy, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one from him.

Not to hijack sales, but any scrapyard should be up to their ears in shift knobs.

Buy from one of our members anyway. We're all good people.

You might be surprised. I ended up going through over a dozen W-bodies before I was able to come up with a functional shift knob to replace a broken one in the Intrigue right before I junked it.
