well broke my key cyl a few months ago and now cars electronics stay on so i have to unhook battery every time i shut down sooo i bought a new one with keys included off of rock auto question is that is there any surprises i should know about when changing this and is there a step by step diagram on here somewhere that walks you through it like they have for the LIM replacement I searched the seach button and nothing came up

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you probably have an issue with the park lock cable or the ignition switch rather than the cylinder. Plus, the keys that came with my cylinder that I bought from Rockauto were a generic key...you probably want to get the cylinder keyed for your car at a locksmith.
The relearn process takes 3 complete cycles with a new key, not one.
