Need to know what wire harness I need for my 04 impala ss Indy edition.

Pretty sure it is a factory amplified system but when j looked at the gmos-04 it says it is only for an impala up to 03. I thought anything from 00-05 is pretty much the same?

Also wondering If I would need the separate part for the steering wheel controls with that part because I know some come with it and some don't.

Any help would be great as I am trying to order the part asap

I used the Scosche GM06B. It says only up to 2003 but it worked fine on my 2004 SS. It relocates the factory radio to the trunk (or wherever else), leaves connections at the dash for the aftermarket and adds the accessory on power.

Does your car have the premium sound package?

I believe so, it has the factory amp on the roof of the trunk, I didn't get the manual with the car from the previous owner. I also don't want to relocate the factory one, just want to get rid of it. I know I'll lose the "personal" settings but I'm not worried.

It is the Indy edition so I would imagine its premium sound.

I'm gonna try the gmos-04 designed for a factory amplified system and I'll let ya know how it works out
