Hey all. I've got a 2001 LS and some $$$ burning a hole in my pocket for a tune. Very Happy

I want to get a tuned PCM, but I will be keeping my core, so I can go back to orig. tune at any given time. Who should I go with? I hear such good things about Overkill's. But I also liked what I read on ZZP's site about their PCM.

Decisions, decisions!

There's a dude over on 3800pro called Dyno Brian that you could consider as well. I think for $100 he'll do a specific mail order tune for your car, and if you have a tuner or some sort of scanner, you can send him your scans and he will make adjustments for free.

Not a member there......

Do you know if he does core exchanges, or do I have to send him mine first?

I don't know. His email is MobileDyno@aol.com. I guess he does all of Intense's dyno tuning as well.

I see that you are in Ohio. Look at 3800pro.com. DynoBrian is over there and also in Ohio near Dublin IIRC. He tuned my car and did a GREAT job on the dyno.

I really want to go Overkill due to all the fantastic stuff I've read about them, but I had some questions for Will first and have sent 3 emails now over 4 weeks with no response. I'm trying not to bug him, hence waiting a week or two between emails, but I don't want to just order one and hope for the best.

Did you have any luck getting ahold of Will before ordering? Have you already gotten your PCM?

That's what I did. That's the great thing about using Paypal tho. You can always get your $$$ back if you need/want to. Wink

LOL. I've thought about it. Im not so much worried about the money part as I am with the reliability of the tune and passing emissions inspection with a 3" downpipe and hi flow cat.

sounds about right Laughing

I just put my mods in the box and let him do his thing. I too have to pass emissions and this was no worries with his tune. I understand wanting to wait to hear from him. Its ultimately up to you what you do.

I finally went to his site and saw that he IS just down the way from me. He works out of a shop only a few minutes from my work. Very Happy

Most people on here have only had experience with Overkill, ZZP, or Intense. In my opinion out of those three Overkill is far ahead, but there are still other tuners to consider. I'll be getting mine from Kevin at Cartuning for my 5 speed swap..
