Gentleman, I want to know if you guys have any gunsmiths that you could recommend to do some work on my AK-47... Any personal experiences or stuff that you've heard would be great... Location doesn't matter ill have to ship it off either way... Basically im having a jamming issue on reloading after a single to double stack conversion was done. Thinking something along the lines of the feed ramp but Im not 100% certain... Basically i want a experienced gunsmith to take care of this... Any help would be great.

This guy has been around forever and has had the same commercial style since my dad was a kid...http://www.donsguns.com/

They don't seem to have it listed on their website whether they repair - they obvious do, but idk if they'll do it for the public (one would think they would). If you can't find anything closer, they'd definitely be worth checking out.

It doesnt feed into the chamber correctly and the bolt sometimes causes it to get stuck and the bolt doesnt lock in all the way... At times the bullet is half-way in the chamber and the other half is sticking out the discharge area.

Have you tried different magazines? I'm not an AK guy, but beyond that - my first guess would be a good cleaning followed by a recoil spring.

Yea i have two magazines and it does it on both, they arent identical either... I sent it off to some guy in Vermont that does work for Century Firearms(the people that import the gun into America)... He said he as worked on them before so i figured he was my best bet.

spring sounds like a good place to start. does it happen everytime you try to load the mag, have you tried not loading the mags to max?

The gun and one of the mags is currently in Vermont right now... Ill have to look at it once it gets back to me... Im hoping this guy that has it right now can take care of everything for me... If not ill look into that when it gets here before i send it off to my last gunsmith that im aware of that could possibly fix it all for me.
