2002 Impala with an annoying issue...

Recently, with the onset of spring, when the car sits in the sun and you start up the engine, you will hear a clicking sound coming from the dashboard which coincides with the DRLs flashing.

The clicking sounds as though it's coming from both sides of the dash, but when you depress the break pedal you will only hear clicking from the passenger side.

As I said, whenever it clicks, the DRLs flash. And at night or when the temperature drops the clicking goes away and all is well.

I pulled the battery run down relay and the DRL relay, with no change. I'd change the headlamp relay / automatic headlamp relay, but can't find it.

Any ideas?

Happened to me also. It was the body control module (BCM).

That is not what I wanted to hear! Anyone else have a "cheaper" possibility?

Does anyone know where the headlight relay is?

No cheaper possibility..... the best you can do for a "cheap" fix is to try and clean up your ground on the BCM, put some dielectric grease on it, and hope that helps.
