Hey Guys,

i have a problem with my front driver's side door lock. It is not working with the key fob or with the lock switch. All of the other locks will lock and unlock with the key fob and the power switch no problem except for the driver's side. I thought that it was the motor that burnt out, so i bought a new one and switched it out, which was quite a pain in the ass. However this one is not working with the powered locks either. Any ideas of where i should look next to fix the problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.

mine was doing this, i put in the key into the lock cylinder, and turned it back and forth, locked it then unlocked it, back and forth.
i believe that did it, its like the fob key goes out of program or something..
when wigggling the key back and forth bettween lock and unlock, stop wiggling and push the unlock button and lock on the fob. even try both at one(cant remember exactly what i did lmao)
honestly that fixed mine.. if that doesnt work i would reprogramm the fob by taking out the battery out of the fb, putting it back in the programming it back to the car through the radio.
I googled it, seems like everyone says its broeken and to fix etc etc. but all i did was but my key in and go from lock to unlock bunch of tie.. Confused2

Try putting the key in the door and turning it to the left to unlock and hold it there. It should unlock all the doors. At least it does on my car...

That's strange...both my 01 and my 02 have done it. It's nice when your remote dies and you need to open all the doors at once from the outside. I wish it did the same to lock it though...

Maybe I'll try this. I never lock my door anyway, but it's an interesting quirk I wanted too try. Smile
