Could those posts be to hold the air dam in place?

I don't think so. I beleive the air dam is in-line vertically with the radiator.

Hmmm.. thats kind of odd. I've sold a few of the GM ones, and those didn't have those strap things attached to it. Confused

Just be advised, your still probably need close to $100 in clips as well, unless you can figure out another way to fasten it in place.

zip ties?

I'm kidding, but I'm just wondering because that doesn't seem too bad of a price...

For sure, let me know if you do. With graduation coming up I'm going to have a little extra cash flow and this would make a nice addition to my Imp Smile

I have 2 LS Sport bumpers lying around, this is definetly the lip, and they definetly have those tabs hanging down that screw into the bumper.

Seems pricy, though, and you'll still need the rest of the bumper.

Edit: If someone gets one, they should post up results. This is made by "various manufacturer" and does not seem to be CAPA certified. I'd be willing to bet that the fitment is terrible.

Do they spin or operate on pins? The only way they'd hit the bumper is if they were pointed upwards in the picture.

It looks like they're bent downward in that picture. When they screw into the bumper, they are almost parallel with the ground. If you look underneath your regular ls bumper, I believe the screws are still used.

How do you still need the rest of the bumper. What we are talking about is buying this for $250 and fitting to the LS bumper (which we have) INSTEAD of buying a $450 ss bumper that needs fixing.

If you are good with bodywork, its not that hard. even if the fitment isn't that great from the factory (which you are right it probably isn't lol), you can make it work. I'm pretty decent with body work (no expert) but my neighbor owns a shop doing body work and paint..so he could be an asset in helping me out

The SS bumper has slots for all the little tabs you can see in the image from previous posts.

BBE or PBSS tried affixing an SS extension to their LS bumper and said it was a huge PITA. Even after all their fiddling then, I don't think they were truly satisfied with the fitment.

I think this option is usually considered doable, but a huge pain.
