just replaced the front right hub assembly, but im still getting the buzz sound and the traction control light. Im guessing the speed sensor wire harness is to blame now but my question is....do i have to replace the whole harness or is there a connector that i can purchase by itself because the wires look fine......thanks Smile

is this it?

Before I went that far, I'd pull all the connections apart and try to clean any corrosion off of the terminals. Then I'd cover the terminals with dialectric grease and put everything back together. That has solved ABS problems for me in the past and its worth a try before you go replacing harnesses.

Also, a proper scantool will tell you which ABS sensor is giving you the problem. I've had shops diagnose which sensor it was for free.

If you still have the noise maybe it's from one of the other bearings, would also still give light. You can check each sensor with an ohm meter. Unplug from harness and probe each pin on the hub end. Open circuit = bad sensor. Spin wheel while taking reading and you should get a reading = good sensor. Cool
Now rethinking this . . . It would be the ABS sensor not speed sensor in each hub. Speed sensor will not put traction control light on. Confused Cool

hmmm, my mechanic replaced the hub 2 weeks ago and i had to take it back because "traction control" was still coming on. He got the same reading that the right side was bad so he replaced it again yesterday. when i was driving home i heard the buzz again then the light came on and abs stayed on. Now hes thinking it might be the wiring harness since we replaced it twice now.
The sensor on the hub is for both ABS and Speed right? Where does the wiring begin?

Ill pull and clean all connections tomorrow and probably take it back to the mechanic for another reading. thanks
I changed the tire today and some noise went away....it was weird because the tire looked fine. oh well.
