So I ordered some Vogtland springs this week. after which i ordered some agx struts and made arrangements to buy the other parts per Iffy's thread. Well I just got an email today saying that my Vogtland spring order has been canceled. they are out of stock until at least June.

So on to my question...
Should i wait until June and reorder hoping they will be in stock or is there another brand which is quality and is not an extreme drop. I'm worried about the added issues of going too low. What do you guys think?

June isn't that far away, but it seems like years when you're waiting... see if they would give you some kind of a discount because you already ordered an then they said they were out of stock

No i hadn't thought about another supplier. I ordered directly from them, so I guess I just assumed they would be out everywhere. Pitch do you have any recommendations on reputable suppliers. I've always been wary of the fly by night online shops.

I would ask for a discount but as soon as they said they were canceling my order they gave me a refund. Yeah I know June is not that far but I KNOW i have a little bit of time now, then I'm not so sure about.

I will poke around and see if I can find any from another supplier though

sidenote: its been awhile since I've been around its nice to see that everything is still up and running smoothly!

dont know anyone that carries them, but try elsewhere. I just needed seat foam for the Monte, OPGI is out of stock till July, got them on ebay (same manufacturer, different supplier) for 1/2 the price, free shipping, and had them in 3 days.

thanks Pitch. I found this place last night autotuningstore.com but I wanted to wait until i heard back from you guys. I checked ebay to no avail so I'm gonna Paypal it through this company. I'll let you all know if it goes well, that way we at least know of another possible supplier of vogtland springs for the future.

an update.

autotuningstore.com the new place i ordered the springs from is out of stock as well. of course they are! I guess the search continues. Who knows maybe I wont find any until June...

Are the SSC springs really that bad for the cv joints or other parts of the car? Im riding on 114k struts and springs now, could the ride quality be worse that that. I'm sure it will feel like an improvement right?

What sucks is that i have a set of AGXs sitting in my foyer ready to go

They are likely on back order everywhere. When I bought mine a few years back, they were waiting on a new shipment to arrive from Germany. My guess is they are in transit (IE on a big ass container ship) and will be available again in June. I'd highly recommend waiting for them if you have a vendor that knows they will be getting them in the near future.

I don't have any issues with the CV axles, vibrations or a harsh ride that most other springs provide.

thanks iffy, you are probably right. Ive looked a few other places with the same result. I don't want to create any issues so I am going to put my patience hat on wait.

An update of sorts:

I now have in my possession a set of brand spanking new Vogtland springs, KYB AGX struts (if youre gonna do it you might as well do it right), and pogo washers. gonna do a little more shopping for the other little stuff and the strut mounts.

As soon as i take my last final on Monday I will be getting prepped for the install. Yay! I'm a little nervous about wanting to go a tad lower but thats probably just the jitters lol

Well that didn't take too long at all. If you run into any issues just post up on here or PM me, I might be able to be useful. Laughing

I want to do the install as soon as possible. I've been driving with a torn CV Boot (School = No spare time) so I think I might have to replace the axle...i'm gonna let a shop do that because I have NO idea what that entails. so after the axle is done the springs will go on.

Thanks I might need your help, I'll let you know! Problem is I start summer session on June 8th hmmmm

And Iffy you better believe you are gonna get some messages Laughing
