I'm pretty well read up on how to do a top swap on a 3800, and I am preparing to do one to my 2000 LS. I'm also swapping in a 5-speed Getrag 284 around the same time.
Every time I read a thread about top swapping a 2000, I read that there is more that needs to be done besides the basic top swap for the PCM to work. Something about the oxygen sensors.. So I'm definetly expecting more work than your basic top swap because it's a 2000.
I'm going to get a tune from Overkill, he'll probably flash my pcm with the bin from an 04 SS to start out with, and he's going to edit the trans tables for my 5-speed swap.
My question is, what else will I need to do besides heads, LIM, SC, TB, harmonic balancer, coil pack bracket, and fuel rail/injectors? Basically what extra needs to be done because its a 2000?

Nothing if you aren't using the 4t65e. Use the '00 O2's and delete the heater circuit codes. The '04 .bin doesn't support secondary air if your car has it, I would assume you would be deleting that anyway.
