Anybody here own a 2004-2008 gxp?
5.3 v8 and relatively cheap. I think I just discovered one of my new favorites. I never paid these much attention but I've recently started researching them just wanted to comment on how good of a choice this car seems to me.... Anyways, carry on.

The Bonneville and the Lucerne don't have the LS4. They have a Northstar.

IMO, it would be a lateral move (especially the Grand Prix). No sense in 'upgrading' to a car that has the same exact shortcomings as the one you currently drive.

The Chevy has slightly quicker final drive. The Pontiac has stiffer springs and dampers, and better brakes. I think it has drilled rotors all around. And wider tires. The Buick Lacross Super's brakes come straight off the Lucerne.

As mentioned the Bonneville had a Northstar, around 275hp I think. I hated the GP's interior which is the reason I went with the SS at the time over the GP.

Otherwise, the GP is essentially the same car as the Impala SS. You get paddle shifters in the GP plus a different suspension and wider front tires. I'd spend my money elsewhere.

For example a white '12 Charger Hemi went by this morning. Drool
Also there is a '12 300 SRT front and center out on the rock at the new Chrysler dealer. Drool
They must be doing OK to open a new dealership outta nowhere. It was the Volvo dealer, which moved to where the Mitsu dealer was. Don't know where the Mitsu dealer went.

When you can buy a 300 SRT for the same price as a GXP Bonneville, let me know.

There's a reason it costs so much more.

They're practically the same. Minus wrong wheel drive and with 150+ more hp. Laughing
