I have a base model, how ever it has the 3.8v6 so I'd assume that it's no different then the LS? thus being I would indeed have the 3.05 4t65e?

Trying to find a transmission from a donor car and making sure my gears are right.

Thanks..

Also is there a thread as to what cars trans will swap with mine?
or will all 3.8 v6 swap?? only low mileage one i found so far is a
2002 buick regal trans from a 3.8..

Thanks again,

Don't know if it changed year to year.
On a 05 it has F83 in the codes on the drivers door for 3.05

Yeah, your best bet is going to be 03+ GP, MC, IMP...

i believe (double check first) the 06+ lacross or lacerne uses the same trans (not sure if its just one or both) that would probably be easier to find low miles on one of those

I'd find the youngest 06-08 Grand Prix non-supercharged 3800 transmission you can find. It will have a 3.05 diff and should be compatible with your 03 PCM. 05+ LaCrosse 3800 transmissions for the most part will be 3.05 ratio as well; the 08 Allure/LaCrosse trans I used was a 3.05.
