Well I have an opportunity to pick up a Camaro pretty cheap. While I wish I could say it was a new one I can't. It's a 94, lady just had the transmission rebuilt, just replaced the fuel pump, new tires. She is thinking about asking 1200 for it. If I go for it I will offer her 1000 cash. The only major problem is that the hood is green and the car is gray. She want to sell it, because it doesnt get good enough mileage. My question is, it's the 3.4, do they really get worst mileage than the impala 3.4s? I think I know the answer to this next question but will ask just to make sure. The wheels from my impala, will they swap? I am guessing no becuase the offset for Rear Wheel drive is different than Front Wheel. Will TB swap over? Thanks guys, I appreciate any info. Oh and how much do you think I could get out of the impala? around 105,xxx miles. thanks!!

I wouldn't bother unless you just want a total beater car.

A buddy of mine in HS had a Firebird with the 3.4. That thing was slooooowwww.

As stated any Camaro with a L32 or even L36 isn't going be superfast. Why not invest in an LS1? Twisted Evil

If I had to I would get a L36 Camaro but never a 3400.

Well my new thought is to buy it for 1000, clean it up real good, and sell it for profit... lol I think I could get 2k for it. then with the money fix the tranny in my impala lol. I think this is a much better idea. How about you guys? Think I could get 2k out of the Camaro?

If its clean and all the same color again, you could probably get 2-2.5k out of it.

Buy for 1000, have to insure, title, tag, etc.

If you sell for 2k, you aren't making much profit at all...

3.4 Camaro isn't worth it, the price of Camaros these days, people will come along for a different one I'm sure.

And don't knock a 3.8 Camaro, they aren't TOO bad if you have a manual... Embarassed

camaro runs a high offset wheel I beliebe, also the pattern should be 5x4.75, the Impala is 5x115

The 3.4 installed in the Camaro/Firebirds were designated as L32. Wink
