Hey guys, i know theres a few posts on clubGP about building your own coil overs, i'm kinda between a rock and a hard spot, i have 9" wide tires, and about 1" of room between my tire and strut tube, i also had to move my spring perch up 3/4" in the rear so my wheel tire combo would fit with clearance, this isnt a gangst car running 24"s its my DD wanna be track car, i have a 1.5" drop, but its still not enough to have the car low, it still kinda looks like a 4x4, at this point im debating cutting my springs to achive another 1" drop in the rear and 3/4" in the front. that to me doesnt seem like to much of a saftey hazard, but i know what anyone else would say outside my picture, including me, and that its not safe. so if anyone has successfully build a set of coil overs i'm looking for a parts list, and a measurment of how much the assembally adds to the over all width of the shich tubes. i dont have much room to play with, and i dont think i could bring my wheels out to much more, probably 7MM max. and i know if i go with a 2" drop on eibatch's, its going to be a really harsh ride. At this point i would like to just attempt to do coils on the rear to bring it down, the rear is kinda cushy when theres any weight back there to upping the spring rate wouldnt kill me to much.
