Hey guys was just driving back home in the rain and I didn't see a pot hole and I hit it rather hard, startled me, thought I had hit something it was that hard Immediately after that my airbag light lit up on the dash.

Is that something I should be worried about?

Yes, if it is still on after the self-test the next time you start your car. If the light is on, the airbags may not go off in an accident.

ABS and SRS self test every time you start the car.

The light was off when I turned the car off and then back on. Was just wondering as to why it came on after I hit the pot hole

Check the wiring in the front of the car, maybe it is loose?
