I have a 05 Impala SS with a 3.4 pulley, 180 thermastate, cold air kit and a hi flow 3 " down pipe . I need a tune should I get a PCM from 3800 performance? or should I tune my own PCM ? I am in Miami does any one know a tuner?

If you can't track down a tuner, I'd suggest talking with Overkill (click the banner ad up top to find his site).

should have the tune BEFORE the 3.4" pulley, but check out Overkill, only place to go to get a tuned PCM unless you have a tune done at a shop

You probably need to upgrade to headers, not just a downpipe with a 3.4 pulley as well, you are probably getting knock. might want to get some colder plugs too

Overkill isn't the ONLY place to go (to clarify) but he is def the best for an OTS tune.

thats what I meant Laughing

Colder plugs are a must also, PEM's or PLog is a minimum, headers would be best.

I ran the 3.4 with PEM's and 0 knock, but these cars differ from one to another.

Thanks for the advise, I guess im lucky I have zero knock with the 3.4 pulley. But I also run a colder plug and 93 octane all the time. After the tune what else will give me atleast 20 hp more?

ported blower, ported LIM, LS6 springs (or higher) and 1.9 rockers will make a big difference

as stated already, you should do headers are this mod level, esp. if you pla on modding further
