Hi I'd like to check manifold vacuum on a 3.8 and was wondering if there is a test port, or will I have to "T" off another connection. My Haynes manual has been less than helpful here.

You can take it off of the vacuum hose that goes to the fuel pressure regulator.

I ended up hooking up the gauge with a "T" fitting between a vacuum line and the evap purge solenoid. Will this give me the accurate readings? It since it seemed easier to connect there than patching between the FPR.
