just installed some headrest monitors in today and decided to share let me know what you think not too bad for my first install
time to cut the headrest no turning back now dun dun duuuunnn
one done one to go
and the finished product....
and heres the subs I picked up too traded my 18"solobaric x
For them the 18 was to damn big lol, 3 10" l7s ive always wanted this setup clean loud bass the box looks like $#!+ but it functions nice ill be buildin a custom fit box soon
Nice instal! I was on the highway the other day taking my truck to my brothers house around 10:30pm and saw an impala with 3 screens in the back like yours, but while he was driving he had his dvd players playing up front, his sun visors down with screen in them playing, and a tv on the floor angled up to him rught under his dash.. I could see the floor cause the truck is lifted 5 inches.. Funny thing was he was alone in the car with all the screens playing...
Thanks man, the funny thing is with me I don't even drive w the front tv out draws too much attention had visor tvs in my s10 and the first day I put them in I got pulled over that's why Ive been putting em behind me cops can't do anything about that lol and I got pretty good deals on em too and thought why not u u can't really tell in the pic but I painted the center tv tan to match the interior thought black would look too outta place
Ha I dunno man thats the box they came in I already have my new box planned out just need to buy the materials prob wont b till this summer tho, the only thing that worries me is getting those damn ports right but I downloaded the kicker app for my phone so that should help out a lot
its runnin off a Jensen flipout another thing I gotta upgrade lol ran a splitter off the video out it only has 1 channel so I just separated the flip down and the headrest monitors I plan on using a distributor box eventually I just have to get a power inverter then I can just tuck away a household distributor ,havent really search too much but they seem to be more common, and this way I can run a game system off it too
I think the ports are pretty close to the right size now the carpet just makes it look real s h i t t y they're all the same size chambers with the same size ports so I should be good for now. but I do know what you mean I had 4 10 inch m a audio subs in my s 10 built a custom box for them and they tore each other apaRt it was sealed too so even worse, lesson learnedlol

if they are all seperate chambers you are golden IMO ...
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS :
its not the port size i am worried about (not that I am worried like I will lose sleep worried) ... its the single port on one side and the double port on the other ... I dont know what the internals look like but if they are not linked to a common chamber it could be bad ....
kinda like a high SPL van burping with the door open ... it will unload the subs closest to the open door or port and lunch them ... i actually saw this at db DRAG FINALS last week end...
I know you are not a high spl setup but the idea is the same... one sub will have more excursion then the others and wear out real quick
just trying to help
PORTS LOOK TINY TO ME LMAO
