http://www.carsforsale.com/use....._147412079

They've lowered the price to under 8k. First thing i'd do is get stock rims, because it should be a crime to put rims like that on a classic...then ditch the sub/sound equipment (i listen to rock) other than that it looks like a great summer car!!! I've always wanted an old impala, and the price seems right on this one.

Thoughts?

A land yacht may not be the best idea at $5 a gallon gasoline. Wink

Yeah, that listed colour description is pretty terrible Wink. I like the green colour though, just hate those giant rims (and subs)

True it is a big car - and i'd be keeping my 01 impala as the more daily driver and longer trip car

I would pass. If you really like it, go nuts. I don't see the appeal to driving something like that, though.

the 70's Impalas have little to no value, so unless you really like that style and dont care about losing a small fortune to restore it, I'd look elsewhere

It will be heavier, slower, brake worse, handle worse, eat more gas and have less power than your current impala. And there is probably a ton of rust & Bondo under that ugly paint. Suspension and steering are probably shot regardless of what the inspection paper says. Plus it's waaaaaaay over priced. I say do it.Laughing
