Driving increases your mileage Laughing

I don't know what you are asking. Are you asking if a cat increases your gas mileage?

A plugged CAT will drop your mileage, but they are expensive, and are under a 10year 120k warranty. If you are out of warranty, an exhaust back pressure test can be done with a guage in one of the 02 sensor bungs to determine if it is plugged.

That's only for certain W-bodies built in 2001 and 2002. The standard cat warranty is 8 years/80k.

No I had a clogged cat and it was too expensive for me to replace at the time, I currently am not running a cat.... I feel that my mileage got worse after removing it, i mean my transmission is taking a turn for the worse now, but I am asking if i added a cat, now that i can run a universal since my Tune, would my mileage be better? Tune is not for a catless setup.

I gutted the cat on my 1996 Olds LSS and was getting 34mpg highway at 75mph..If you put a cat on your car your mileage will go down, more restriction. Cool
