So, I had sent my Overkill PCM back to Will to get re-tuned to 2002 coding & to be reprogrammed to 93 octane, and had him firm up the shifts as well. I LOVE IT! I'm also getting better gas mileage and I'm not easy on the throttle either. I've gone 148miles and I'm just at 1/2 tank of gas, note - all city driving. The shifts have never felt better, and the car runs 10 times better than it did on 87 octane tuning. Throughout all RPM's the highest my KR gets is .6 - almost 0 pre-detonation!!

As always, very happy with Will's work, and my dad even noticed a difference in the way the car performed in the 20 minutes he drove it one afternoon.

My transmission is now also completely fixed - trans temp never goes over 168*

Sounds good man! Twisted Evil I would go for a tuned PCM, but I'm just trying to keep this damn thing running. Laughing BTW at a half a tank I get right at 200 miles out of it. Razz

Do you have a heavy foot? I do 10 miles to school and 10 miles back, and then little 10 mile trips here and there to friends houses and stuff. I do a lot of idling too in the school parking lot and in the school traffic in the mornings. I'm sure if I made it #1 priority I could squeeze every last MPG out of it, but in all honesty I'm not worried about it, I like the way I drive, lol.

Yeah I've been driving like an old lady for this past winter. Only able too squeeze 22 mpgs all city out of it. Sad Maybe it'll get better with summer around the corner and when I deal with my MAF problems.

LOL yeah I'm hoping I could get better though. Wanderson mention once he was getting 31 MPG city when his Imp had a 3.4 in it.

I'm happy with the MPG I get, with the way I drive my car. I have been trying to make a conscious effort being easier on the pedal, and it seems to be paying off.

Same. I have 168K now and it was the orig. fuel filter. Had to get a 5/8" fuel like kit with it and use a pipe cutter to replace the "s" bend infront of the filter. Heh. Happy I did it, no leaks, and I'm betting my engine is thanking me for it Very Happy

For the guys that have to change their fuel filter. Don't worry about spinning the line nut on the actual fuel line, instead just sping the filter off of the line nut.

I have been thinking about getting an overkill pcm for a while now, I think I will wait for a 2nd hand one. I would probably only want the tune for 87 octane. Here in Michigan, gas is still 3.7-something while the rest of the country is much lower.
