Anyone have powder coating done to thier rims...tell me your story. I'm going to get it done to my Dodge Ram 3500's Metal Melisha rims.

There is someone on here that just had them done in the past couple of months. They turned out really nice. I'm sure he'll chime in.

Thanks...I'm looking forward to getting it done myself. I was thinking of doing it on the inside of my Impala SS rims..I can't get powder coating done on chrome so I could only do the inside of the rims..I think it would make the car look better

Here's the link to the post of my Imp...Paid about 480 for all 4 but man was it worth it. I love it and this winter is pretty much over and they still look perfect!

How is cleaning the winter road junk off the powder coating? Does it just come right off?

Its a really hard coating that looks the same as paint (shine wise) but its a real hard coating. It will wash up just like new rims do but for alot longer if you take care of them.

Thanks foreverlive3, those rims do look real good! I will consider the powder coating on my '04 Impala SS rims, the grey sections that is...that would look awsome with the chrome face! Very Happy Cool

I paid $85 each for 16" rims in 1998. (17" were $95/each). Still shine bright white to this day. Was a little thin on the edges in spots..but couldn't really complain.

It's just amazing how that holds up over simply painted rims, which eventually scratch if your not careful.
