I was cruising in town today headed home from school, right by our city hall where there is heavy parking by the road. Because of the parking, its pretty hard to see pulling out of the side roads. Needless to say, while i was doing 30ish in town, some idiot lady pulled right out and nailed my car. I was PISSED! I however didn't take my anger out, and was kind to the lady. I was surprised, being this was my first accident.

She admitted it was her fault. Come to find out she quit paying her premium, so yeah, she doesn't have any insurance. Civil court case here I come...

Those were the only pictures I got. Damage to the hood, bumper, passenger fender, and possibly the door. Passenger window wont roll up, and the grill was popped out. The passenger wheel well was pushed back to the tire..

The wheel well gap looks pretty bad, but I couldn't tell if the axles or control arms were bent. Didn't see any signs of leaking and the engine ran fine. Even turned it off then started it back up a little later.
Think she is totaled? hard to tell from the pictures i guess. Pretty unhappy currently...

Hopefully the frame isn't bent...look under the battery at the frame to see if there are any "krinkles" in it. The radiator support ok? That's the part behind the headlight assemblies...

Didn't look at the time, the wrecker got there immediately after the cops and they cranked it up and took it away. Im going tomorrow to get everything out of it, so I'll make sure to check it out.

It will take me forever; subs bolted down, amp, headunit; now I see what you had to go through, and it sucks!

Oh, it sure does alright....I almost cried when I looked at my car after the accident, she was my baby..still is. It sucks when you wreck a car you love. Yours isn't nearly as bad as my accident, still really sucks though.

Yeah, when I watched the wrecker drive off pulling her, I was really upset. Yeah its not as bad, but the car isn't worth a whole lot (monetarily), but its worth so much to me..

Doesn't look that bad as far as being drivable. Is the bumper rubbing the tire now? I nailed a deer doing 85 back in the day while on vacation and drove my car home 3 hours the next day. Laughing

Yeah I know, the fact that I knew how much the car was worth with how much money we were going to have to put into it was quite upsetting.

Yeah it rubs; she hit me and shoved me completely into the other lane, and I had to drive back over to the right side and it made it over there fine.

Did they total the car when you got home? lol

The guy I hit drove off. So my dad came and drove my car home..and a scary speed too (110mph+).....I thought I was gonna die lol. It should have been totaled but since we didn't go through insurance we fixed it ourselves. The frame was very badly bent.

Nope. $3000 worth of hood, front bumper, headlights, air dam, and air intake and she was back on the road. Laughing Was a Grand Am. Car was never right after that though.

Almost an identical case with my father. Hit a deer, tried fixing it, but the car started to shake bad when you went over 60 Laughing . They ended up totaling it..

Yeah, I don't want to have to rip her apart though...

Was about to turn over 170,000 too. Its my first car and I definitely don't want to see it totaled..

My dad was extremely angry and said we will get the money, as i'm only a senior in highschool. Its sad already looking for another vehicle, but i'm hopeful they won't total her. KBB was only around 2 grand, which would REALLY suck. Its got a new rad fuel pump and tires..

Ouch. Good luck with the suit and (hopefully) repairs!
