I just ordered all my audio stuff today.. And bought a P3 12" sub as well as a
1200W XM-2002GTR 2/1 CH Sony amp. (I know you all hate sony, but as far as their amps I've never heard a bad thing about em. My dad is running his 12 off a sony amp, and running his Kappa components off a JL).. What would be the best way to hook it up with the best sound, and not hurting either..

Thanks!

Im just throwing this out there, but he could have been running it at the wrong independence while it was in use, which could have damaged the amp in some way or another. Hopefully not. I by no means know anything about that amp. Hope it all works out well for you.

He said its DVC..I only saw 4ohm DVC version of the sub, so I would assume that.

I BELIEVE ite DVC is 4ohm and SVC is 2ohm, but i haven't really looked at those subs all that much

EDIT: I'm retarded. I could have sworn he said it was the DVC subs..but he didn't..disregard that lol

and now to OP, to reiterate ZSPOTS question, is the sub 2 or 4ohms?
(does it have a single voice coil on the sub, or two of them?

L+ R-

If you have 1 sub, do that.
