First step in dealing with Autozone... ignore everything they say.

With your car, it probably had platinum plugs from the factory and the revised part are iridium plugs. Do yourself a favor and return whatever you bought and get AC Delco plugs and wires. Anything else and you are asking for problems.

I worked for my uncle making guitar and other cables in high school. I can tell you a wire is not just a wire. So many diff. standards are used

The second I switched from some Autolite's to AC Delco Iridium plugs I noticed a differance. I've always used AC Delco wires though. If everything was the same in a wire then why would so many people make them. They all have their own standards that they go by. I was talking to a guy at Autozone not long ago (needed a new air filter). Man that guy was a tool. Swore up and down that I could put a turbo and a shot of NOS on my little 3.4 without changing anything and my car would run great. Idiots.

It's not that its a bigger pain with the wrong stuff, you'll just be doing it again 10k down the road (cursing yourself the entire time for using inferior parts).
