So I hear fluids swashbucklin' around somewhere between my engine bay and the dash. I had that leak (from the faulty cabin air inlet thing), but I thought all of that water made it to my carpet. Anyone have ideas?

It happens on acceleration, turning... really anything, although I never really notice it unless I'm driving less than 20mph.

*Also happens when revving at a stop/park.

Hows the heat in the car? Check radiator level. Maybe water sloshing around in the heater core. Cool

As noted above. Top up your coolant and bleed air out of the system.

Check your coolant elbows at the LIM passenger side for leaking.

Heat has been 100% all but one day and idr that day. Very Happy Reservoir is a little bit low.... I shall check that. Also, the noise is audible when revving (not moving).Thanks.

It's air in your coolant system.

Check the Drains on the firewall. Leaves and junk plug them up and the water can not drain out of that area. They are located on both Sides of the firewall and require the removal of the cover, like when you replace the cabin filter. Need to reach in and toward the A piller to check for junk plugging them up. It can be a nasty job.

this is exactly how i knew. But my temp guage got very high unless i was on the gas, which seemed odd. Sitiing at a red light it would go to about the red, then i would accelerate and it would drop way down.

I think I'm safe driving 30ish miles home (where my coolant is) friday, then. It was just bouncing over the half line, but today it didn't even touch it in 30 minutes of city driving. Mine hasn't been that bad since my LIM failed... was sitting in car talking and looked up to see steam or smoke coming out, looked at temp and it was in the red and I Shocked. Still had to get it home... Laughing

Not to question your wisdom, but shouldn't you keep some with you? I know when I was without a garage I always had a quart of oil and a gallon of coolant hanging out in the trunk for situations like this.

Same here! I have a gallon of coolant and a quart of AMSOil sitting in my trunk strapped down, along with my old pair of windshield wipers (incase my current ones fail when I really need them).
