Well, I just ordered my 3rd brake light "Impala" decal from Pitchblack and my wife gets into a car accident on 495 last night. she was in the slow lane and A guy came onto the hwy and failed to yield, bumped the imp sending her into the side of a tractor trailer, which then hits their brakes and she goes spinning across 3 lanes of traffic into the jersey wall O_O...

She ended up hitting the drivers side of the imp into the wall, causing the side airbag to deploy.

Thank God she only ended up with a her neck and back hurting and a sore knee...

As for now it seems as if the imp will be totaled. I went to the place that towed it with a friend and is waiting for the pics.

I guess now this leaves me with no choice but to get a better Car

Twisted Evil and not let her drive it LOL...

*EDIT* Pics Added

Did they catch the guy that caused the accident? Hope she has no lasting effects, and get her back behind the wheel of something soon to boost her confidence level!

That is shameful that someone could cause a potentially deadly accident and fail to take responsibility for their actions. Don't worry though, karma will get 'em. It always comes around.

Ahhhh AHHH its temptinnnggg.... IDK.. I'm going to give my self some time to pay some bills off first and see... Insurance kinda turned me off (just a LIL bit) to the Charger/Magnum, but it was strangely low for the 300c... and im definitely interested in what they say after this incident tho.

Still interested in the 06+ Impala SS as well

Sorry to hear of the accident. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your wife. I know it sucks, but it could of been worse. All the best. Cool

The important thing is that she is fine, I'm not sure if that car is totalled.

I'd guess it's totalled. A 2001 Impala that needs pretty much an entire side of the car replaced/repainted (assuming the underlying structures are in good shape) is probably more than the value of the car.

I'd say totaled of very close to it.

New bumpers, new corner taillight, new gas tank lid, new headlight, appears to be damage to the corner of the hood, front fender, rear quarter panel, rim, sideskirt, possibly tires.

That's all just the costmetic damage. There could be suspension damage or hidden damage to the frame/unibody.
