I have been loving this winter so far. Only had 1 actual storm so far, and that has already melted and everything is dry.

This past weekend I got the Monte back to 100% (after 2 new axles) and was able to wash both cars, all without a jacket! It's almost February!!!!

The Monte's winter wheels get a big thumbs down. Laughing

Aside from that, the cars look awesome. Any issues with seized hub/axles when you swapped them out?

We have finally gotten a bit of snow, maybe four inches. It's going to be about 40 degrees all week though, so this snow will all be gone.

LOL yes, I hate seeing my car between Nov-Mar every year. Just the rim change, completely changes the whole car.

The only good thing about these ugly rims though, is how easy the axle nut was to get free while the car was still on the ground Smile

I did have a lot of problems freeing the hub from the knuckle. It was basically metal welded to itself. I couldn't even see the seam where the 2 met. But about 30 minutes of banging with a large ball-peen hammer I was able to create a little crack and then chisel it away. Then I had to pick out pieces from the knuckle because that hub was seriously busted up.

But it is done, and the Monte is driving beautifully. I just need to clean up the cradle a little from the grease being flung all over.

I'm really torn with the weather. I do love snow but part of me welcomes warmer weather. On the other hand, I work for a natural gas utility so the mild winter has been terrible for business. Laughing

This winter freaking sucks when you love snowmobiling. The only upside is It'll be a good spring to buy me a new sled. Pissed off owners selling for cheaper. Laughing

Laughing J/K we should be under 2 feet of lake effect snow right now, and it's gonna be about 47 today along the lakeshore and nothing but green grass on the ground. river is devoid of ice again, i'd love to get the jetski out for a cruise! peace, john

For someone like myself that loves winter, it sucks, but its been great now that I have the Monte. Never put the car into storage this year which saved me a bunch of $$. Also, been driving the car all winter. Supposed to be 55 today, may take a ride to my old job and show off the changes I made to it.
