Good day to all, I'm the proud new owner of an almost new 2003 Impala, with very low mileage I haven't owned a GM product in many years, actually not since I worked at the Oshawa GM Plant back in the late 70's. I am quite impressed with the fit and finish of this car, I think this car is great value for the dollar. I've lurked on here for a week or so prior to my purchase and spent many hours researching the Impala here and on other links. I love this car so far and am looking forward to driving and enjoying it.

Have any mod plans?

Thanks for the welcome guys !

Lingenfelter, I know Ontario quite well, I'm a farm boy from east of TO, Cobourg / Trenton area. I'm now in Victoria, BC , this area is a perfect storm for cars and trucks , no real winters , no salt to speak of where I am and lots of seniors with low mile cars. I'm a car guy so this is heaven for me, no rust buckets here. Check out my garage , I have a really nice F100 pick-up in there also.

gg05 , no plans for mods yet , maybe someday add some performance up- grades and just leave the stock look. That's why I'm here, to tap into the experts for advice and get some ideas, if you have any suggestions feel free. I'm new to the late model stuff and not real sure what I can get away with, with all the computerized gizmo's. I'm always trying to learn, I'm used to wrenching on the old stuff but not so much the new, accept for routine maintenance.
I was wondering if anyone knows how many LS Sports were built for 2003 , I can't seem to find any production #'s on that. There doesn't appear to be to many Sports around.

2001LS , the colour is growing on me, I had a Jeep that was almost the same as this. I've seen photos of the Sport in white, they look good in that colour too,

Great looking Imp with a whopping 28,000 miles. Shocked Mines two years newer than yours and has 117,000. Your going too make people jealous with those tail panels. Smile

I figured that he was, my wife doesn't like white cars so they were out . (it reminds her of her parents' and their friends cars , you know "old people"). I've never had that problem with white, although I did have a diesel MB that was white and always thought it was an old persons car. So Drift Sand is okay.

Thanks for the welcome Smile

Wow,I just passed 28K myself,,,so,now I have some competition for low mileage imp around here. Sad I just changed my "tail covers" to black tails which I like a lot better. It seems many love those tail covers, and I as I have no real problem with them,I'll certainly being hanging on to mine for the time being.

Good to see another imp with the graphite interior trim, and I love the embroidered floor mats...which is/my car should have come with.Got the car from in-laws,now unfortunately deceased,so I don't know whether he opted out of them or the dealership just took them out of the equation altogether. Kinda wish I had a sunroof like you do,Atlas...nice looking car.

Thanks patyson, yes the embroidered floor mats are nice. It gives it an extra little "cool factor". The bonus is that mine are really clean , I've got mine covered up with big rubber ones for the rainy season here on the west coast. The light coloured interior doesn't hide the dirt and will keep me honest about keeping it clean.

I think mine is pretty much loaded , the only thing it doesn't have that I can tell is the bose stereo, mine has the cd/cassette combo. Also, I think this year also had a chrome rim upgrade from the mag wheel. I'd like to see some pics of yours sometime.

ad0726, hey thanks ! I stand corrected , so maybe mine did have all the options. The only one I'm not sure of is the heated mirrors. I read somewhere that they went on with the rear window defog. I do have an options list for the car from the dealer, but I don't know the code for the heated mirrors. They could have been part of an option package/group I guess.

Thanks for the info on my car and the compliments.
