A few days ago, I got into my car a 5:15 AM on a cold, January day on my way to work. When I cranked the key, the lights were on, but nothing happened. OH NO! The dreaded PASSLOCK problem! I was kidding myself when I went to Walmart and purchased a new battery. (Still did not work) I tapped the starter to no avail. After a few hours, I contacted a local independent mechanic.

It turns out squirrels decided that underneath my car was a nice warm place to occupy. In the process, they chewed up the wiring to my transmission, causing the computer to not receive the signal that it was in park, consequently, not starting. A repair of the wiring and a programming of the computer came up to$233 including tow.

The upside, the tow is covered by insurance and the repair bill is covered by comprehensive, being that animals caused the damage. The downside, I have a $500 deductible on comprehensive.

So, what kind of air rifles/pellet guns are good for slaughtering squirrels?

Get this:
http://www.crosman.com/airguns/rifles/pump/2104X

There is one 10 dollars cheaper if you like using iron sights.

Sorry to hear about the damage done to your car, but at least its covered.
In Texas we have a law for comprehensive. Its automatically half your deductible. So you would have been looking at $250 instead of $500.

Here in South Carolina we have a law that anyone with comprehensive gets full glass (No Deductable) regardless of the insuranse deductable.

Well is sorta presented itself as a a Passlock issue. Laughing Damn squirrels. Reading our minds now ruining our cars. I always park my car in the garage. That way those little bastards, or other animals, can't chew anything up.

that sucks, kill them squirrels to they die from it! lols

but seriously..I had a major passlock issue for like the last year, in summer it ingaging every other start lols. and was wondering what to do, change the ignition, and have 2 diff keys..or the sensor and still woulda cost me labour for someone to do this...when i got my tune i was complaining about this and Will from overkill says "oh i can disable that for you" i just about busted up cryin lmao. i can finally enter my car worry free that im not stuck for 10-20 minutes. made the tune ALOT more valuable to me lol.
