My daughter stuck a ball point pen inside the heater.vent on the passenger side, I can see the end of it but not able to reach.and pull it out. Could I just remove the glove box or is it a lil more tricky then that? Thanks..

If you do remove the dash.... you gotta pop off the plastic piece that says "on, off, start" around key cylinder.. You gotta remove the fuse panel cover from drivers side and pass side, then undo the 8mm (I think, could be 7mm) bolt from each side. Then there are 2 bolts below the steering column that need to come out. You need to pop off the black lower plastic piece in the drivers foot well to get to those 2. Oh yeah you have to unscrew the two bolts coming upside down over the speedo I think.. There may be a couple more bolts but those are the main ones. One all bolts are out the dash cover pops out with clips.

So that's the only way to access the vents?

This may be easier. If you own one of those small 1 gallon shop vacs, you can go to walmart and buy the small tube adapters that are long and should fit in the vent.
Use that because it has alot of vacuum power and should be able to grab ahold of the pen from inside the vent and pull it out.

Or you could go to the hardware store and buy some of those tweezers that are a foot long. Only a couple of bucks.

Dash bolts are 7mm. I've taken mine on and off so many times the last time I timed myself and it took me less than 2 minutes.

Its honestly super easy and its free. shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to remove, remove pen, and replace dash.

As stated before. Pop off the cover on the Ignition, take off the fuse panels on each side and remove screw.

Remove 2 screws by the cluster
drop lower panel on drivers side floor, remove 2 screws
Pull off panel under steering wheel
then remove the screw in the dash there
Proceed to pull off dash (disconnect emergency light sensor and trac cont sensor)

Don't be afraid to remove the dash. I've done it so many times on mine that I'm sure I can remove it with my eyes closed. The first time though I was afraid of breaking something but no sweat just remove the dash get the pen out and call it a day. Should take 15 minutes.

I can vouch for the easiness of taking the dash off. I have never done it before this afternoon, and following the directions was a snap.

Wow. You are a better man than I. I would just KNOW it was there and so, therefore, not rest until that sucker was out of that vent, weather conditions notwithstanding. But, I'm obsessive like that. Shocked Very Happy
