This morning on my way home from work my traction control light came on a few times (ice/snow), but when it came on it would quickly light up inverted and slowly go to normal. So what would be black or at least the edges of it would be orange and then the rest of the light would come on. What causes this? My lights were also more prone to dimming (when using window switches) than usual. Question

Let me guess... it was really freaking cold out and the car had been sitting outside when it happened?

^^^^THIS. Every morning when I'm leaving for school and it's like 28* outside the little display on the dash moves ever so slowly and my lights dim easier too. My radio LCD display does the same thing in the mornings when it's super cold out. Once everything is warm it all fixes itself

That's funny, my cars never do that til it's below 0*F. Perhaps they're conditioned to WI temps Cool

Edit: I park in the garage though... s'pose that makes a difference even though it isn't heated.

I remember When i started the car on Feb 5th 2007 (Coldest day in the last 10 years).. Was -43F with i think a -50 or -52F Windchill. Took like 7 whole seconds for anything to show up on any of the displays it was so freaking cold.
