Cars schedualed for thursday so this is just trouble shooting before it goes, might get lucky. My car was "chugging" and kept sucking for air, it does this while revving up or just driving. It threw the code P0102 MAF sensor or circuit. I replaced the MAF and it still does it. anyone have this problem and find out what it was? I read some of the searches and got a couple ideas but noone gave a straight answer or said any of them worked for ssure.

Did you check the wires for the MAF? If one of those is damaged you can get a p0102 that wouldn't be remedied by a new MAF.

Did you disconnect the battery for an hour when you swapped the MAF so the PCM isn't reusing data?

No I did not do this is that necessary? And iffy I checked the wires they all look good for 10 years old lol I had the wire taped up for the las couple years. And total loss of power no go get to 40 and it "Boggs" out so to say. But if your required to un hook the PCM I did not do that what do I unhook?

You just unplug the battery and the pcm will reset. Leave it for like 40 mins

Well, try unplugging the MAF itself and then go drive around. If it drives better, you got a bum MAF sensor. What kind did you use? Most aftermarket ones are reman units and are s**t, right out of the box.
