Looks great but that burnt led would bug the s**t out of me.. I have pretty much the same car so I always approve:-) how come you didn't go with some CCFL halos? I have them and the halos can be seen during the day in the sun... I love them!

I didn't think it was possible to make stock Monte Carlo SS wheels more ugly than the already are....

Aside from that, looks good.

haha iffy, thanks for being honest Wink

I painted them specifically like that, leaving the centers silver like on the steelies from the police wheels. I thought they looked good, but, not everyone likes the scheme so it goes

I just hate those wheels, mostly because they are so damn hard to clean. I can't believe I had them on my car for almost 8 years. How did you paint them?

interesting painting of the monte wheels to make them look like 9C1 rims. if the center cap was round it would be a better result. but creative idea though. one recommendation would be to paint the outer edge of the rim as well to hide the wheel weights a bit better.

what is that box under your hood to the right of the intake?

Alan

gopedxr - good call! i need to get some more paint. The box you're talking about is a non-factory cruise control, this car didnt have it in there when i bought it

iffy - i think they're pretty easy to clean - im not really into rims so they do fine for me - i just wanted to paint them similar to the 9c1 steelies. Not sure why this car wasnt already equipped with them since it was a takehome for a cop. I painted them with car spray paint, just taped everything off and put a couple coats on.

Is there a reason you removed all the stabilizer bars?

I can't help but ask cause i'm intrigued.

Did the car get painted blue after the fact, or was it in such a bad accident that it needed a whole front clip?

the car used to be a different colour, where it has chipped paint there was white underneath. I've spot-touched these spots.

Wasnt in an accident, or that would have shown up on carfax! Im pretty sure the police would have had to report one of their cars getting in an accident Smile

The GPS is a garmin, and the Mount came with the unit - you can go on their site and get one for free, called a mounting disk i think - keeps you from having to attach it to the windshield, theres adhesive on the bottom and the suction sticks to the surface

Love that Interstate battery. There is an Interstate distributor nearby and folks can go there and purchase batteries directly at wholesale prices. Blemished batteries are even cheaper. These are ones where the label was scratched, missing, printed upside down, etc. I have always had excellent service from Interstate batteries.

Police are actually notorious for NOT reporting damage done to their fleet vehicles. My previous green 9C1 had significant repairs done in the rear end that never showed up in any carfax's or the like, but one solid look at the car told another story.
