Well I installed or tried to install a remote start alarm combo.
Its the "ScyTek Astra 4000RS-2W-C" and i used a "crimestopper pldata 3" bypass module.
I have the remote starter working perfect, its the alarm thats giving me trouble right now.
I have the locks working and the trunk works. Im a bit confused on the factory rearm and disarm the only thing ive been able to find on it is
Factory Alarm Arm arms on lock with door open
Factory Alarm Disarm lt. green - BCM, gray 16 pin plug, pin B3
It is also going off on its own after about 20 min on its own , so im guessing I did something wrong.
This is what I went off of when I installed it all
6-Wire Starter Harness
Pin 1 RED - A: Main Power Input A (+). RED WIRE @ IGNITION
Pin 2 RED - B: Main Power Input B (+).RED WIRE @ IGNITION
Pin 3 BROWN: Second Ignition Output (+). DARK GREEN wire @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Pin 4 ORANGE: Accessory Output (+). ORANGE WIRE @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Pin 5 YELLOW: Ignition Output (+). Pink wire @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Pin 6 VIOLET: Starter Output (+). Yellow wire @IGNITION
16-Pin Main Harness
Pin 1 BROWN/WHITE: Horn Output (-) 500 mA. Connect to a relay to activate the vehicle’s horn when the alarm is triggered. black BCM, pink plug, pin B5
Pin 2 BLACK/GRAY: Tach Input. WHITE WIRE @ IGNITION SEE #238
Pin 3 BROWN: Siren Output (+) 3A. The Brown wire must connect to the siren’s red wire.
Pin 4 GREEN: Negative Door Input (-), dk. blue (L), dk. blue/wht (R) BCM, gray 16 pin plug, pins A8, A1
Pin 5 VIOLET: Positive Door Input (+), Connect to the door switch circuit wire that shows +12V when the
door is open. This type of door circuit is usually found on Ford vehicles.
Pin 6 YELLOW : Factory Rearm (-), this wire will pulse negative upon remote start shut down.
Pin 7 WHITE/BLACK: Hood Pin Input (-). Connect the to the hood pin switch.
Pin 8 BLACK: Ground Input (-), GROUND
Pin 9 BLACK/WHITE: Dome Light Output (-) 500 mA. gray BCM, gray 24 pin plug, pin A8
Pin 10 WHITE/VIOLET: Factory Disarm Output (-) 500 mA. lt. green BCM, gray 16 pin plug, pin B3
Pin 11 BLUE/ORANGE: Ground When Running Output (-) 500 mA. BLUE WIRE ON PLDATA
Pin 12 ORANGE: Armed Output (-) 500 mA. The Orange wire provides a ground output while armed to
activate a relay for starter defeat and anti-grind protection. (SEE DIAGRAM)
Pin 13 GRAY: TRUNK (-) 500 mA. RED/BLACK WIRE @ DRIVERS KICK PANEL
Pin 14 GREEN/WHITE: Brake Input (+). WHITE WIRE @ SWITCH ABOVE PEDAL
Pin 15 WHITE: Parking Light Output (+/-) relay.
Pin 16 RED WIRE: Module Power Input (+). 12V+ POWER.
4-Pin Data Bus Port ( plug in bypass module)
2-Pin Blue Connector: Valet switch port.
2-Pin Red Connector: LED port.
5-Pin White Connector: Two Way Receiver Connector.
3-Pin White Door Lock Connector: Door lock port. ORANGE BLACK WIRE
· BLUE WIRE - negative unlock output (-) 500mA.
· RED WIRE - (+) Not used
· GREEN WIRE - negative lock output (-) 500mA. Must use 480 ohm resistor
4-Pin White Connector: Dual stage shock sensor port.
5-PIN RED Remote Start Relay Module: supplys negative output for additional relays
( optional connects to additionl remote start relay module)
PLDATA 3 CONNECTIONS
PIN 1 BLACK: BLACK WIRE @ IGNITION (PASSLOCK)
PIN2 YELLOW: YELLOW WIRE @ IGNITION (PASSLOCK)
PIN3 WHITE: DARK GREEN @ IGNITION
PIN4 PINK: PINK @ IGNITION
PIN5 PURPLE: YELLOW WIRE @IGNITION
PIN6 BROWN: NO USE
PIN7 BLUE : PIN 11 ON MAIN HARNESS (BLUE/ORANGE)
PIN8 GREEN: NO USE
Any help would be appreciated. Or maybe I should just install the ADS-ALSL GM and deal with less wiring
**edit- I went back through the wiring notice the door trigger connection was loose. so i now have all the doors and trunk hooked up. im going to have to take a look at the factory disarm connection. seems when i remote start the car my factory alarm is turned on
