Ok guys. I'm going to try the 2010+ Camaro front calipers on my Impala. I've got a set of used calipers for 300.00(does anybody know where to find some cheaper before I install). I'm going to use 07 mustang gt500 front rotors. Wish me luck. Got the idea off of one of the GP forums. I'll post pics if it works with my rims.

I didn't know you could use the newer ones. Plenty have used the F-body ones here before though.

Drove it to work from work. Pedal is nice. Didn't do any full bore panic stops but it does stop very well. Here's some pics. Excuse the dirtyness. It has rain here for a few days.

I was able to use my stock brake lines unlike in the link. I changed to the 06 and up lines when I installed the dual piston calipers from those cars. If you have 18 in and larger tires, this is a great brake upgrade. If you can find calipers cheaper than I did it will be even better. Btw I bought the rotors from Advance Auto. The part number is YH145700(07 Mustang GT500). The price was 57.99 ea.

Something GM added for some type of brake vibration on the camaros. I didn't want to take them off and then have some kind of vibration.

question for any of these brake upgrades,

do you need a specific wheel to make these fit?

can i put a f body brake upgrade on my 04 impala with 16inch steel rims?

F-body brakes should work with the steel wheels. I'm pretty sure the only wheels that the don't play nice with are the GP crosslace wheels. As far as these Camaro calipers, you probably need 18" wheels to run them.

The calipers were 300 for the set. I got them from a salvage yard near Cleveland called Pick a Part. They have more if anyone is interested.
As for the wheels, you have to run at least 18's. Also your wheel would have to have a deep offset. According to the Grandprix website where I got the idea
I think they said at least a 32mm offset.
