I was just kind of wondering about a bulb count. Only thing I came up with on a search and some reading was a radio had 11 LED bulbs in it. I'm curious as to how many it takes for an LS cluster, as well as an HVAC control (dual if it matters). I'd have to guess door switches have 1 or 2 each?

Thanks

Radio: 11 Bulbs
LS (and Base) Cluster: 7 Bulbs
SS Cluster: 9 bulbs
Dual HVAC: 6 bulbs (plus 4 LEDs for the button indicators)
Driver Window Switch: 2 Bulbs
Passenger Window Switch: 1 Bulb
Lock Switches: 1 Bulb Each
Power Mirror Switch: 1 Bulb
Headlight Switch: 2 Bulbs
Fog Light Switch: 1 Bulb (plus 1 LED for indicator)
Trunk Switch: NONE (Doesn't light up)
Steering Wheel Switches: 2 Bulbs Each
Trac Control: 1 Bulb
Hazard Switch: 1 Bulb

Some of these take 5mm LEDs, other can only squeeze a 3mm LED. All (except the fog indicator and HVAC Button Indicators) require resistors

If you don't have experience soldering, some of these are quite a challenge to do

PS: This is from memory, so it may not be 100%, but it's probably 99% Smile

The Trac Control button has a light?! In my 01 and 02 they don't light up, except for the light on the dashboard.

BBE - Thank you! Cool
I don't have the experience myself, no. I was talking to someone who was doing a total LED swap job in an '07 Audi RS4. Normally mostly equipped with LED lights, the owner wanted to switch colors. He mentioned the navigation took 60 LEDs for that alone Shocked And I thought that sounded like a lot, but I have no idea. I know the price was high for the job, yet for the hours he had into it he said it wasn't worth it. Being already equipped though, I would guess you could use existing resistors where needed?

I get the light only when the button is pressed to deactivate, and then it's in the cluster.
