02 LS 189k miles

Let me start this by saying i have been having that problem with my heater blower where it will not work when the cruise light is illuminated, after research i saw that the ignition switch is most likely the problem and if you jimmy the key around in the switch it will make the light go off, so i have been doing this for about a week now.

this morning after work i started the car and it fired up no problem, i noticed the cruise light was on so i jimmyed the key to get it to turn off and the engine died. From that point it would not start again. It would just turn over and over but never start. Im wondering if the ignition switch being bad would allow the starter to turn but not allow the engine to start. Havent check fuel pressure or anything else yet, just wondering if it was even possible that i fudged up the ignition switch. Just thought it was mighyt strange it did this right after i played with the key in the switch while it was running fine. Appreciate any help or suggestions.

There has to be a ground somewhere that may be failing. Also check the wiring harness that nothing is loose. If you are jimmying the key and everythings ok, then Id assume something is loose.

Got it running today, turned out to be that passlock security system booting me out, did the 10 min relearn and she fired right up, really am getting tired of this and from what i have read there is no real way to fix it, even at the dealer. Heard about this bypass module, does that actually work??
