A handful of people have been interested in the past and the fervor fades in a hurry once they realize it would cost money to get done...

What are we talking for cost? I might be willing to pitch in. I'd use it all the time.

Probably more money than people would be willing to chip in. We've been here several times before and it would be awesome, just not worth it.

This summer I plan to get my site back and running and I need to pick up a few languages for next fall, so I can give it a shot then. I'm more than willing to write for Android... I already got Java down pretty well and I'll pick up the rest once I get a smartphone.

I will not write for iOS. : )

EDIT: I'll look into an emulator and maybe figure something out during winter break if I have enough time off. I wish the site ran on SMF... Wink

Why re-invent the wheel? Can support for Tap-a-Talk be added to NAIOA? I really know nothing about it, but they claim it's pretty easy to support it. Tap-a-Talk exists for both Android and iOS.

IIRC it becomes way more complicated than you would think because this forum is running a high customized version of PHP-Nuke that makes it almost impossible to convert to a mobile format correctly.

i will talk to my brother, and see what he knows how to do. He has a lot of experience in this, but i ask him if he is capable.

as Iffy said, we run a highly customized version of phpnuke. Most nuke add-ons dont even work.

Talk with BBE, he designed the software we use here

I think this site is perfectly fine on a mobile browser.

I dont use the mobile or tapatalk version of any site. I always use the full version. Thats why I pay for a better phone that can give me the full internet experience.
