My drivers power window will not go up. Replaced switch assembly, still bad.
Disconnect wire harness, "Hot wired" using yellow and black wires to brown and blue wires, window goes up and down ( when reversed ).

What am I missing ? Seems that no power goes to "window up" mode.

Please help..

Thanks, Ken

My guess is that you need to replace the motor/regulator for that window. They fail fairly frequently. Was there a period of time when it started to lag before it totally quit on you? If so, I almost guarantee that's the problem.

Window went up and down as normal before the "up" quit.

It was a frosty morning, window stuck temporarily, went up. Then next down, and no "up" ....

Hmmm, I will tear apart the old switch assembly to verify it was the switch as a starting point. I shtere any other source of 12V that feeeds those Blue and Brown wires?

Tear the switch apart and clean the contacts.

Tore it apart, measured the switch, all ok. Still no 12v source on "up" cycle.

Is there any control on that 12v line I may be missing? There is a grey wire and another wire on the connector with yellow ( source ) and black (GND ). I wonder what they are for? I have no reference so I don't know what should be on those lines when the ignition is on..

I still bet its the switch. There are metal contacts in there and they might have to be bent and cleaned.

Thanks for the input, I got the schematics, I measured the switchand its toggling on/off. When I traced it back further, there is a control relay on the "fast down" circuit and the up cct is also tied in.. I am still investigating.. Maybe the express down has to be executed to give the relay the release to the up mode?
