Hey guys, thanks for all the good info I've gotten from this forum. I'm stumped on this one. This pic is with the pass front wheel off. I believe this is right under the harmonic balancer flywheel. It's a chunk of rubber, the hole where the red arrow is, i have pulled several rubber chunks out because they were loose and almost falling out, I guess they've broke off from the big piece. There is alot of grease coming from this area, as you can see in the pic. What does this part do and should i worry about replacing it? I'm thinking it's part of the harmonic balancer but i can't seem to find any pics anywhere. Also i randomly get an odd whining sound coming from my belt. Thanks for any info.

Thats the engine mount, and yes, it looks like its due for a replacement.

Thanks for the info, found this part # on Rock Auto - DEA Part # A2906, just under $30. anyone ever replaced this? I see that it's hydraulic, that explains why there is grease all over the place. is this a common part to replace? do i need to worry about supporting the engine while replacing?

I would guess you have to support the engine somehow, its like replacing a table leg without holding the table up.
